Products

We deliver the critical plant components that generate the most revenue and highest recovery for our customers - at the best value.  Our team of designers specializes in modular plant design.  By pre-assembling and skid-mounting the equipment in our fabrication facilities in a controlled environment, we reduce field construction time and costs.  This proves to be very beneficial to our clients in all sizes and types of plants and ensures quality and a long equipment service life.  Learn more about what you need in order to get started.

We deliver plants in the areas of:

Every year, the world uses nearly 100 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas and that number is likely to increase.  With growing demand and tightening product and regulation requirements, you need to count on a company like Thomas Russell Co. to help you maximize your production output while minimizing your production costs and downtime.

All of our products and services are backed by the Thomas Russell Co. name - a name known for industry innovation and leadership, technology driven solutions, and field-proven expertise.

Cryogenic Gas Liquids Recovery Plants

Thomas Russell Co. president, Tom Russell, was a leader in mechanical refrigeration plants in the 1970s and now his drive, expertise and experience has made his company the leader in designing and delivering cryogenic plants.  As liquids recovery demand continues to increase, these plants are quickly gaining popularity as an effective way to recover additional liquids in key shale plays such as Marcellus, Barnett, Woodford, and Eagle Ford to name a few.

FLEXIBLE STANDARD DESIGN BUILT FOR TODAY AND THE FUTURE

Experienced in providing cryogenic plants including both Joule-Thomson and Turbo-Expander, Thomas Russell Co. has created standard designs to recover 90+% ethane sized for 40, 60, 120, and 200 MMscfd.  They are designed to process gas with compositions ranging from 2 GPM to 9 GPM.  You can be sure that we are field proven when it comes to cryogenic plants.  In fact, by the end of 2011, we will have completed over 70 plants - more than 50 of which are cryogenic plants, capable of processing 9 Bscfd of gas - and all in just a 7 year period.  As always, our standard, skid-mounted, modular designs ensure the maximum recovery and revenue for the best bottom line results, at the best value.

Our standard Cryogenic Plants are sized for 40, 60, 120, and 200 MMscfd.  These plants are designed to recover 90% plus ethane, if required.  They can also operate in rejection with propane recoveries in the 90% range. Thomas Russell Co. has standard amine gas and liquids treating systems. We also offer custom designed plants of all sizes to meet required design conditions.

Amine Treating/Gas Sweetening Plants

Thomas Russell Co. has extensive expertise in providing standard, modular designs for amine treatment of gas.  By putting the gas in contact with amines, contaminants such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and others can be removed from the gas to help you prepare it for market. We can also help you recover sulfur by converting H2S back into sulfur or sulfuric acid. As always, our standard, skid-mounted, modular designs ensure the maximum recovery and revenue for the best production, bottom line results, at the best value.

Dehydration

Thomas Russell Co. can help you prepare your natural gas for transport by dehydrating your natural gas to be free of methane hydrates and ready for sales delivery.  We also provide molecular sieves to act as an adsorbent to dehydrate and purify your gas. As always, our standard, skid-mounted, modular designs ensure the maximum recovery and revenue for the best production, bottom line results, at the best value around.

Molecular Sieve

Molecular sieves act as an adsorbent to dehydrate or purify your natural gas to help you prepare your natural gas for sales and other transport.  As always, our standard, skid-mounted, modular designs ensure the maximum recovery and revenue for the best production, sales and bottom line results, at the best value around.

Mechanical Refrigeration

Mechanical refrigeration of natural gas provides maximum recovery by removing heavy hydrocarbons and controlling the dew point.  Our founder, Tom Russell, was a leader in developing mechanical refrigeration processes during the 1970’s and today this refrigeration recovery process remains ubiquitous where pressures are low. Thomas Russell Co. can also provide condensate stabilization, heat medium system and ethylene glycol regeneration system with the mechanical refrigeration units.

Adsorption

Thomas Russell Co. can provide adsorption plant elements to help you recover NGLs from natural gas.

Fractionators

Through a range of applications of fractionators, Thomas Russell Co. can help you recover specific products.  For example, propane, butane, iso-butane, and gasoline.

Dew Point Control

Thomas Russell Co. can help keep your gas free from liquids through dew point control so you can successfully transport your natural gas where you want it to go, including to market.  Often, dew point control is achieved through cryogenic turbo-expander and mechanical refrigerated systems.
